Dragon Ball Super Has a Great Start in the U.S.
After a long wait from the fans of Dragon Ball, the new series Dragon Ball S premiered last Saturday in Toonami. Toonami teamed up with Funimation to release the first dub version of the most recent entry to the Dragon Ball Franchise, Dragon Ball Super.
The numbers for the rating of this premiere are somewhat impressive, with its first showing pulling in more than 1.06 millions of viewers and with a score of 0.4, following this premiere, Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters was released, increasing the already impressive numbers of the night to more than 1.12 million viewers and increasing the score to 0.5.
While Dragon Ball Super is just starting in the U.S. with the saga known as God of Destruction Beerus, in Japan is a completely different story, they are getting ready to receive a new saga to the popular series sometime in February the new saga titled Universal Survival saga is supposed to hold a martial art tournament between the different universes that exist, here is the official synopsis for this new saga:
“At Goku’s request, the Omni-Kings’ “Tournament of Power” martial arts tournament between universes now begins! …But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. What awaits the victors of this tournament, and the vanquished…?! How will these intense team battles between the elites of each universe turn out…?!”
